New Planet Software
DirDiff 1.0.1

RSS Reader 1.0
System G Desktop
Leibnitz Scientific Calculator 1.2.0
Other Merge and Diff tools
WinMerge
WinMerge is a great open-source diff tool which can also handle directories.
Perforce Merge
Perforce is a commercial RCS, but you can download the diff/merge tool for free.
KDiff3
KDiff3 is a free diff tool which can also handle directories.
ExamDiff
ExamDiff Standard is freeware. It can handle files but not directories. ExamDiff Pro is shareware and adds a number of goodies including directory diff and editing capability. In both flavours, version 3.2 and above can handle unicode. You can download them from PrestoSoft.
Beyond Compare
Similar to ExamDiff Pro, this is an excellent shareware diff tool which can handle directory diffs and unicode. Download it from Scooter Software.
Araxis Merge
Araxis Merge is a useful commercial tool for diff and merging both files and folders. It does three-way comparision in merges and has synchronization links to use if you've changed the order of functions.
SciTE
This text editor includes syntax colouring for unified diffs, making them much easier to read. Download it from Scintilla.
Notepad2
Notepad2 is designed as a replacement for the standard Windows Notepad program, and is based on the Scintilla open-source edit control. As well as being good for viewing unified diffs, it is much better than the Windows notepad for most jobs.

iPod to PC/MAC
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/12731
Have an iPod and want to copy mp3 files with one click to another system. No problem with BITcom Xpod, the easy to use utility for iPod owners. One click native Aqua interface and unlimited iPod support. It's freeware and available for Apple Mac OS X only.
Songs bought from the online store would not show up on the Xpod list. (Downloads only MP3 files, not Apple Music Store format (AAC))
Other hint:
1) Ipod Options (Right Click on your iPod icon in iTunes) -> Select
"Ipod" tab -> "Set to Manually manage songs and playlists"
2) Then go to My Computer and now you can use your iPod like a
harddrive. (i.e. drag and drop files!)
Here is a sample screenshot.
Yet another hint:
If you show hidden folders in Explorer, you can just go into the iPod Control folder, and within there is a folder that holds all the music, just like any drive. Add Artist, Genre, etc as columns and you can find anything...

Wikipedia Freeware List
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_open-source_software_packages
List of Open Source Software Packages
This is a list of open-source software packages: computer software licensed under an open-source license. Software that fits the Free software definition may be more appropriately called free software; the GNU project in particular objects to their works being referred to as "open source." For more information about the philosophical background for open source software, see open source movement and free software movement. However, nearly all software meeting the Open Source Definition is also Free Software, so it is all listed here. But there is also a List of Free Software packages where only software whose licence is approved by Free Software Foundation is listed.
